How We Are Responding to COVID-19

VACCINE UPDATES:

  • All Residents are offered Covid-19 Vaccine and Booster shots if appropriate.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, we have employed a number of measures recommended by the NYS Department of Health (DOH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to best protect the health and safety of our staff and residents:

  • Pandemic Emergency Plan (PEP)
  • Visitation Policy: Visitation is currently open at King David Center. We recommend the hours of 10am-6pm Sunday- Saturday. Please call our concierge at 267-712-9147 to schedule a visit.
  • In accordance with the most recent DOH guidance on visitation issued on 1/12/22, King David Center will require all visitors and vendors to present a negative COVID Test that was conducted one day prior to visitation for antigen tests and two days prior to visitation for NAAT (e.g. PCR) tests. All visitors may use either NAAT testing or antigen testing.

Visitors must also wear a surgical mask as opposed to a cloth one in order to enter the facility. If you do not have a surgical mask, one will be provided to you. We thank you for your continued understanding and cooperation.

  • Wearing a face mask: All healthcare personnel and other facility staff shall wear a face mask and maintain infection control and social distancing protocols.
  • Non-emergency offsite appointments: Non-emergency offsite appointments and out on pass can be accommodated in certain circumstances with the understanding of the Covid-19 risks associated with outside exposure.
  • Health check/screening: All individuals are screened upon entrance to the facility by answering designated questions on the Advanced Entry kiosk and a physical temperature check. Any adverse response or temperature reading will be addressed accordingly.
