Robotics and Technology

One of the biggest advantages of working with King David Center is having access to the very latest in health technology. Robotic devices and therapies have shown great promise in their ability to help patients recover and rehabilitate from surgery, injury or other medical events, such as a heart attack or stroke.

Here are just some of the robotic devices we employ to help get you back to maximum function as quickly as possible.

HydroWorx 1200 Aqua Therapy Pool

HydroWorx 1200 Series is a radically functional hydrotherapy pool. It boasts a host of high-performance features which represent the cooperative efforts of visionaries, engineers, and clinicians. The Allure Group is the first SNF to obtain a hydrotherapy pool for residents. Our hydrotherapy pool is a quantum leap forward in aquatic therapy and wellness. The moveable floor, underwater treadmill, resistance jet technology, computer and camera systems and automated water temperature capability satisfy the varied demands of traditional physical rehabilitation, as well as therapists improving our residents’ health and well-being.

Armeo Spring

This device is used for people with partial arm paralysis to restore their motor skills. It is used for people who have suffered a stroke or spinal cord injury or have movement disorders, such as multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy or Parkinson’s disease.

Lokomat

The Lokomat helps facilitate the process of “relearning” how to walk.  With the patient supported in a harness above a treadmill, a robotic exoskeleton moves the body in a natural walking pattern, while also measuring and regulating how much effort the patient exerts so adaptations can be made. The Lokomat stimulates the legs and neurological system so that they gradually reorganize once-familiar walking patterns.

H200

The H200 is a wireless hand rehabilitation system that stimulates the appropriate nerves and muscles of the forearm and hand and helps to re-educate weak or paralyzed muscles. The system applies electrical stimulation in a precise sequence which then activates the muscles allowing the fingers and thumb to move efficiently during functional tasks involving reaching, grasping and pinching.

L300 GO

The L300 Go system by Bioness is a functional electrical stimulation system that promotes mobility improvements for patients with lower extremity weakness or instability as a result of neurological disorders.

TeleHealth

With TeleHealth technology, you have 24/7 physician-led medical care. King David Center utilizes this innovative technology to supplement our already robust physician services. When a resident has an urgent medical need late in the evening or perhaps on a holiday or weekend, our staff contacts a TeleHealth doctor, who will guide the staff, via video, through an examination, using ECGs, virtual stethoscopes and many other tools. Doctors can order additional labs and tests to reach a proper diagnosis, treating many medical conditions without a trip to the emergency room. Our goal is preventing unnecessary transfers with ambulance rides, waiting in emergency rooms, and extra expenses.

TelemetRYK™

TelemetRYK is a patient monitoring device that instantly captures complex medical information and health data while continuously monitoring a patient’s vital signs. This constant monitoring ensures a rapid response to patient emergencies while providing longer-form data for patient analytics.

EarlySense

As its name implies, EarlySense gives medical staff the ability to detect, early on, a potential hazard or concern and take preventive action. EarlySense is a patented form of contact-free monitoring that measures heart rate, respiratory rate, turning/positioning as well as potential bed exits for fall prevention. EarlySense has been shown to reduce patient falls, reduce bed sores and code blue events. Sparing no expense for safety, each and every bed at the King David Center is outfitted with an EarlySense sensor.

ConstantCare

ConstantCare allows medical personnel to capture and record vital signs at the point of care, which then goes directly into a patient’s Electronic Health Record. ConstantCare helps eliminate documentation errors and provides accurate information, which allows your healthcare team to help spot inconsistencies in vital signs and take preventive action. This helps prevent unnecessary hospital readmissions and improves your overall quality of care.

Keeping You Connected to Your Loved Ones
